Yes, provided they are covered by your primary insurance.
β
Monoline operates as a "follow form" policy. This means our definition of a Covered Person automatically includes any person or organization currently covered under your primary insurance, subject to the same terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions.
How it works:
If the Primary Policy Covers Them: If your underlying auto policy extends coverage to a permissive user (a guest driver), the Monoline Umbrella policy extends that same coverage once the underlying limits are exhausted.
If the Primary Policy Excludes Them: If your underlying insurer excludes a specific driver or limits coverage for permissive use, we will not provide coverage for them.
Important Distinction: Permissive Users vs. Scheduled Drivers To ensure your policy is rated correctly, please distinguish between these two groups:
Permissive Users: These are occasional drivers who do not live in your household and do not have regular use of your vehicles. They do not need to be listed on your Monoline policy.
Household Drivers: Any licensed driver living in your household, or any individual who regularly uses your vehicles, must be declared in your application and listed on the policy schedule.
