Is a signed application required?
No. Monoline does not require a signed application, copies of underlying declarations pages, or any sort of questionnaire to bind a policy. We aim to make the binding process as seamless and efficient as possible.
Once a policy status is in "Awaiting Payment," no additional paperwork or signatures are needed. The only remaining step is for you or the insured to process the payment.
UM Form Requirements and Deadlines
For UM forms, Monoline mandates the use of e-signatures. Physical (wet-signed) copies of UM forms cannot be uploaded or accepted. To ensure compliance, the e-signature process must be completed before the policy’s effective date. If the effective date is today, the form must be signed today to activate the policy. Failure to sign the form by the effective date will result in the policy not going into effect until the signature is completed.
What if my agency requires a signature?
While Monoline does not require a signature, we understand that your agency may need a signed document for internal compliance or record-keeping. We have included a signature line on the Proposal PDF for this specific purpose.
However, please note that UM forms specifically require e-signatures, and physical copies are not accepted.
