Overview
In the SimpleSwitch Program, archiving lets us know you are not moving an opportunity forward, and it stops the reminder emails. (If you leave an opportunity open when you do not plan to place it with us, you will keep receiving email communications about it, until you archive it.)
There are two ways to archive. The one you use depends on whether the opportunity has been quoted yet.
If the Opportunity Has Not Been Quoted Yet
When your client has already told you they do not want to move their business over, you can decline before our transfer team builds a quote.
Open Transfer Opportunities on your SimpleSwitch dashboard.
Select the insured's name.
Choose "We will not be quoting this insured."
Click Continue.
This tells our transfer team you are not moving the account, and the opportunity goes straight into Missed Opportunities.
If the Opportunity Has Already Been Quoted
When the quote already exists and your client decides not to move forward, archive it from the quote itself.
Step 1: Open the quote and click Archive
Click into the quote. The Archive button sits at the top of the page, next to the PDF options.
Step 2: Choose a reason and confirm
Select the reason you are archiving the quote:
Renewed with Prior Carrier
Placed with Competitor - Price
Placed with Competitor - UW Terms
Placed with Competitor - Product
Account Transferred to New Broker/Agent of Record
No Response from Applicant
Then click Archive Quote.
The quote is marked as Archived and removed from your dashboard. You can still access it and reactivate it if you need to.
What Happens Next
Once you archive an opportunity, it moves out of the Agency Review Required stage on your SimpleSwitch dashboard. That stage is what triggers our reminder emails asking you to review open items, so those reminders stop.
Finding Archived Opportunities Later
Archived opportunities live in Missed Opportunities on your dashboard, listed with the reason each one was archived.
They stay there, so nothing is lost. When the account comes up for renewal next year and you want to remarket it, find it in Missed Opportunities and copy the quote over again.
